The CTDG will be at the Knitting & Stitching shows this year:-

• NEC Birmingham - 13-16 September 2007

• Alexandra Palace, London - 11-14 October 2007

The Computer Textile Design Group is invited to exhibit at the Creative Exhibitions Knitting & Stitching Shows and we are to attend the NEC Birmingham and Alexandra Palace, London. The show in Dublin and Harrogate presents problems in terms of organisation that we cannot manage but the importance of these Shows to the success of the Group cannot be underestimated. They are such a major showcase of avant-garde work in the textiles world.

The CTDG stand requires a lot of thought, hard work, commitment and effort and we are especially grateful to Sarah Brownie for updating and reorganising the display, to Sandra Bingham for organising the Stewards and to the other volunteers who have the dreaded job of filling in all the forms.

Each year our exhibit develops and the laptop and flat screen were used to show the slide show of members' work that Sarah has put together. This was an excellent idea and encouraged many visitors to stop and watch it.

Those members of the Group who make the task of organising the Shows so much easier are stars, including those husbands who have found themselves more and more involved. The rest of you, this year, please think of helping us on the stand, particularly at Alexandra Palace. The Knitting & Stitching Shows are a wonderful day out and will send you home stimulated and probably lighter in pocket.
