CTDG Workbook 8:
Designing on Your Computer,
by Sarah Brownie
This latest workbook from Sarah helps you get to grips
with your paint program and develop your digital designs.
The book de mystifies a number of the most useful paint
program features and is presented in the form of 12
projects :- Stamp & Fray, Step & Twirl, Gradual
Gradients, Spray and Scatter, Indentations, Dodge &
Burn, Hook & Hinges, Blended Rubbings, Liquid Warp,
Rock and Roll, Boarders & Boundaries and Mix &
Match.
Each project begins with a simple starting point. A
clear step-by-step approach shows how these can be
developed creatively on the computer. These projects build
progressively on the skills covered in previous projects.
Additional tips are offered throughout the projects. Though
some of the exercises may appear to suit a particular
field, with a little adjustment they can be adapted to suit
a variety of designers needs. All of the Projects were
completed using Photoshop Elements 3.0 and Jasc Paint Shop
Pro 9. However other paint programs can be used although
the names of tools may vary, their icons will be
similar.
Due to the full colour illustrations, restyling and
modern binding of this workbook it has proved to be
slightly more expensive to produce, but is still good value
at £10.99 for members and £12.99 for non
members.
